Today, in the pre-trial hearings of the Criminal Court against the El Hiblu 3, we await a decision on Malta’s jurisdiction over the alleged criminal acts. 

Today marks the beginning of the pre-trial Criminal Court hearings against the El Hiblu 3 discussing the preliminary pleas in response to the Bill of Indictment. The first subject in the pre-trial sittings will concern Malta’s jurisdiction for the alleged criminal acts.

The final stage of our preliminary hearings will take place at the end of February and the judge will have the opportunity to make a decision: drop the charges or send us to main trial.
